On Saturday, July 29th The Oregon Cannabis Association is throwing a free event called The Summer Fair. The event creates new opportunities for small farmers, processors, and producers. Many cannabis events charge exorbitant prices for exhibitors and participants, making them out of reach for small businesses.  With a single, affordable booth price of just $500, The Summer Fair levels the playing field by putting small business on an equal footing with bigger companies.  Additionally, in an effort to foster a sense of community and goodwill, there will be no “cups” or competitions at The Summer Fair.

The Summer Fair invites the public to experience the diversity, craftsmanship, and expertise of Oregon’s cannabis community. From beer and wine to cannabis, coffee, chocolate and other craft consumables, many of our state’s best products are produced by small, family-run businesses. In the spirit of Oregon’s beloved farmer’s markets and street fairs, The Summer Fair puts names and faces to the people behind an astonishing and growing variety of cannabis products.

The Summer Fair is going to be FUN! Building a new industry in a climate of shifting laws and regulations is a serious business. Frankly, we could all use a break. So, we are going to let loose with games, other crafts, fair food and more.  The Summer Fair will prove that a cannabis event doesn’t have to be just about booths, speeches, and demonstrations. It doesn’t even have to be just about cannabis. With great sponsors and other allied businesses, The Summer Fair will celebrate the best of what Oregon has to offer.
